This Privacy Policy explains what information the DoodleBolt mobile application (the “App”) collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with.
The following is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us:
You can erase all of this at any time by deleting the App or clearing its data in your device settings.
The App offers an optional global and country leaderboard. To make this work, we store the following on our database provider, Supabase:
user_1234567) unless you choose your own.Your display name, country flag and scores are visible to every other player who opens the leaderboard. Please do not use your real name or any personal information as your display name.
You can report a leaderboard name you find offensive. A report stores your anonymous account identifier, the reported player's anonymous account identifier, the reported name and the time. Reports are not visible to other players. When several established players report the same name, it is automatically replaced with a generated name (for example user_1234567) and can no longer be changed; we may also review reports and do this by hand. Reports are kept until the reported name has been dealt with, and are deleted when either player deletes their leaderboard data.
Blocking a player only hides their name on your device. Nothing about a block is sent to us.
To understand how the game is played and to balance its difficulty, the App sends anonymous counters to the same database provider (Supabase). Each counter contains only:
Counters contain no account identifier, no device identifier, no advertising ID, no IP address, no display name and no drawing, and are never linked to your leaderboard entry. Identical events from all players are added together into a single number per day, so they cannot be traced back to you. Our server discards any event or detail not on the fixed list.
This processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving the game, and because the data is anonymous it does not identify you. It is on by default; you can switch it off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage statistics, which also discards any counts not yet sent. Aggregate counts are kept for up to 24 months.
The App uses one third-party service, which has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
| Service | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase Privacy policy |
Hosts the leaderboard database, issues the anonymous account identifier, and stores name reports (section 2.2) and anonymous usage counters (section 2.3) | Anonymous account ID, display name, scores, country code; name reports; aggregate usage counts with no identifier; IP address (as part of normal network requests, not stored with the counters) |
No advertising and no purchases. The App shows no advertisements, contains no advertising or analytics SDKs, does not access your device's advertising identifier (Apple IDFA or Android Advertising ID), does not track you across other apps or websites, and offers no in-app purchases. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area, and other ages where local law differs).
If you believe a child has submitted a display name or other information to the leaderboard, please contact us at the address in Section 7 and we will remove it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to that processing.
Our legal basis for storing leaderboard data is your consent, given when you choose to appear on the leaderboard by playing. Anonymous usage statistics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the game (Section 2.3). Name reports are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the leaderboard free of abusive content (Section 2.2). You may withdraw consent or object at any time by the methods in Section 5.
We do not sell or share your personal information, for money or otherwise, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Where laws such as Japan's APPI, China's PIPL, Türkiye's KVKK, or Personal Data Protection Acts across Asia apply, you retain the rights those laws grant you, including access and deletion. Requests can be made using the contact address below. Note that our service provider listed in Section 3 may store data outside your country of residence.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or for legal and regulatory reasons. The “Last Updated” date above always reflects the most recent version.
